Primary Clinical Services:

Acupuncture:

Our principal clinical acupuncturist David White is trained in traditional acupuncture, Neijing classical acupuncture, and neuro-anatomical acupuncture. Clinically he primarily utilises Neijing acupuncture and Neuro-anatomical acupuncture. These two combine the best of both ancient eastern medicine and modern medical methodologies. Acupuncture is used for many different disorders, some of which are listed below:

  • Musculo-skeletal disorders;
  • Pain and sports injuries;
  • Gynaecological disorders;
  • Infertility and IVF support;
  • Gastrointestinal disorders;
  • Respiratory disorders;
  • Common colds and flus;
  • Psychological disorders;
  • Neurological disorders;
  • Immunological disorders;
  • and many others.
Chinese Herbal Medicine:

David White is trained in Chinese herbal medicine as practiced in TCM as well as the specific herbal styles of the Shanghanlun and Piweilun. These herbal styles are complete within themselves for the treatment of all the above mentioned disorders. Within both the Sydney and St Leonards clinic powdered and tablet herbal forms are prescribed.

Moxabustion, Cupping, Guasha, and Tuina:

These methods are all part of the Chinese medical system. Moxa (the burning of a herbal substance to warm and heat specific areas) is nearly always used in combination with acupuncture. Cupping and Guasha (scraping) are both used for pain, muscular aches, and colds and flus. Tuina or Chinese therapeutic massage is often combined in treatments as well.
